HOLLYWOOD PARTY FOR MS |
|
Hollywood parties are more than stars, music and frolic, when there's a good
cause the stars come out to support it. Sure, a good time was had by all at the
Race to Erase MS party complete with a 1960's theme, but the purpose was to
raise money and that they did, a whopping $2.5 million dollars for the Nancy
Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis. Many of the guests were attired in 60's fashion, one of the best ones was the outfit worn by designer Tommy Hilfiger. He wore a red outfit with bell bottom pants so I asked him if the outfit is vintage or available in the stores and he said it is in the stores.
Tommy created a magical "Peace and Love to Erase MS" themed fashion show with celebrity models that included Cheryl Ladd, Jaclyn Smith and Montel Williams. Sela Ward & Jay Mohr hosted the evening and were joined by Tom Arnold, and Bill Maher who were the celebrity auctioneers for the incredible live auction. Smokey Robinson, Donna Summer, Don Henley and Stevie Nicks performed
Some of the other stars at the party were Sylvester Stallone, Dustin Hoffman, Jeff Bridges, Tia Carrere (Relic Hunter), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), Brooke Shields, Molly Sims, TV producer Aaron Spelling, Tony Danza (Family Law, Taxi), Shannon Doherty (Charmed, 90210), Michael Clarke Duncan (Scorpion King, The Green Mile), David Hasselhoff (Baywatch), Harry Hamlin (LA Law), Lisa Kudrow (Friends), Angela Bassett (Waiting to Exhale), Traci Bingham (Baywatch), Jacqueline Bisset, author Jackie Collins, David Faustino (Married with Children), Brent Spiner (Star Trek), Paul Stanley (KISS), Tara Reid (American Pie), Teri Garr, Melissa Joan Hart, and supermodel Cheryl Tiegs.
